45% of Mother In Their 20s Have Never Been Married

According to recently released Census data, in 2014 fully 45% of mothers in their twenties had never been married. The stigma surrounding single motherhood has faded considerably in recent decades, and for Millennial women, having a child does not mean wedding bells must follow.
