Fully 66% of first-time Millennial homebuyers (18- to-34-year-olds) expect some kind of financial assistance from their parents. Although homeownership is generally considered a sign of financial independence, Millennials are close to their parents, and have no qualms accepting money (or assistance moving in) from them.
