75% of Traditional Public Schools in D.C. Now Require Uniforms

Three in four traditional public schools in D.C. now require uniforms, and those that don’t tend serve more affluent students. While many have criticized uniforms for stifling self expression, others see them as a way to even the playing field and eliminate distractions.
