ABC Family Changes its Name to Freeform to Attract Younger Viewers

In January, ABC Family will change its name to Freeform as part of a rebranding effort to attract a younger audience. This change, however, won’t resonate with Xer parents, who may have embraced the chaotic connotations of “freeform” in their youth, but now favor anything with a family-friendly label for their kids.
