As fruit juice continues its long decline among American consumers, consumption of fresh fruit is rising. Apples, melons, bananas, and tangerines have all grown in popularity since the 1970s—but not grapefruit, which can interact with medications that the fruit’s biggest fans (Silent and Boomers) are most likely to take.
