Beto’s Born-Again Traditionalism
For op-ed columnist Helaine Olen, Beto O’Rourke and his wife Amy are an example of the “born-again… traditionalism” of Generation X. Though Olen is not so focused on traditionalism as she is on sexism, she does make an important point: In many ways, Xer parents have reverted—both intentionally and not—to the gender roles of the past.
