Biggest Metros Spawning Greatest Inequality
Since 1980, wage inequality in the U.S. has widened to new extremes in the largest and highest-income metro areas. The rising inequality is mostly the result of the same forces that are driving economic growth in those areas—an influx of high-skilled, high-paying jobs.
