In Manhattan, Boomer parents are buying apartments and charging below-market rent so their Millennial children can afford nice, safe places to live. Even though housing has always been a challenge for young city-dwellers, today’s parents are willing to play landlord for a few years so their kids aren’t “living in a hole.”
