Buying a home is cheaper than renting for 25- to 34-year-olds in 98 of 100 major U.S. metro areas—by an average margin of 23%. But by and large, Millennials, unwed and comfortably situated with family and friends, are not yet swayed by record-low interest rates and sky-high rental prices.
