Cadillac’s new “Super Cruise” semiautonomous hardware lets the car do the driving—as long as the driver is still paying attention. The device, which admonishes drivers who look away from the road for more than six seconds, is yet another example of the mixed messaging of so-called “self-driving” features that still require a human driver.
