Celibacy Hits Record Highs
The share of Americans not having sex over the past year has reached a record-high 23% in 2018. Though population aging has played a role, the biggest change has occurred among 18- to 30-year-old men, whose rate of sexlessness has nearly tripled over the past decade to 28%—a much steeper increase than that among young women.
