A coalition of companies—including Starbucks, JPMorgan Chase, and Hilton, among others—has formed the “100,000 Opportunities Initiative” with the goal of hiring 100,000 16- to 24-year-olds by 2018. Let’s hope that these jobs are above minimum wage, come with benefits, and offer a career path.
