Dietary Supplements Send More than 20,000 People to the ER Each Year

According to a new long-term study, dietary supplements are estimated to send 23,000 people to the emergency room each year. Consider, however, that the culprits are likely unregulated, fringe products that make up a sliver of the market; keep in mind that prescription drugs cause 10 times as many emergency-room visits.
