The prevalence of driving under the influence of alcohol declined by 59% among 16- to 20-year-olds, from 16.2% in 2002 to 6.6% in 2014. While the authors credit sobriety checkpoints and educational campaigns for the decline, they would also do well to credit Millennials’ risk aversion.
