The Gender Gap in Youth Mortality Rates is Widening
In 2019, nearly two-thirds of those who died young (ages 10 to 24) were male. The gender gap in mortality rates has widened in many countries, with the mortality rates of young women falling much more steeply than those of young men in recent decades.
