Greece’s “Baby Bonus” Train Arrives a Little Too Late

In January, Greece began rolling out its first baby bonus: €2,000 for every new birth. The program is expected to cost up to €180 million a year (about 0.1% of GDP) and is open to both non-EU residents and EU citizens.
