It’s better to be rich than smart: Just 30% of low-income kindergartners with high test scores become well-off young adults, compared to 70% of high-income kindergartners with low test scores. This report suggests that America’s education system is, in the words of report author Anthony Carnevale, “an aristocracy posing as a meritocracy.”
