Like the U.S., England-Wales Experiencing a Birth Rate Decline
New figures indicate the birthrate in England and Wales has fallen to a record low, and the fertility rate is down for the sixth year in a row. Birthrates have decreased in all age groups except for women age 40 and older, and the average age of first-time mothers has ticked up to 30.6.
