Rumors are circulating that a long-speculated merger between A-B InBev and SABMiller may finally be in the works. Though the companies would likely have to drop other equity stakes in order to pass muster with U.S. antitrust regulators, the message is clear: Big Beer brewers think that creating a “megabrew” is the most viable way to beat craft.
