Federal and survey data show that shoppers in their 20s and 30s visit grocery stores less frequently than their parents did. While older generations would bring long lists to the supermarket to shop, Millennials are spreading traditional “grocery” purchases across a wide variety of retailers, both brick-and-mortar and online.
