Just 42% of girls and 44% of boys ages 15-19 say that they’ve ever had sex—down from 51% and 60%, respectively, in 1988. Over the past three decades, risk-averse Millennials have brought down rates of teenage sexual activity—along with teen birthrates, unplanned pregnancies, and STDs.
