More Children Draw Female Scientists

When asked to draw a scientist, one-third of U.S. children now draw a female scientist—up from less than 1% in the 1960s and 1970s. Children evidently have noticed that women increasingly are becoming scientists (and are being portrayed as scientists in pop culture).
