According to a recent study, there were 16.9 twins per 1,000 births in the United States in 2011, up from 9.5 twins per 1,000 births in 1975. Researchers blame older mothers and in vitro treatments for the steady increase—which could mean double trouble for Millennials delaying parenthood.
