New data indicate that during the 2013-2014 school year, the number of U.S. students studying abroad was 72% higher than in 2000-2001. For Millennials, study-abroad programs are not just a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a foreign country, but also serve as a welcome reprieve from high tuition costs at home.
