NCCA Denies Academic Responsibility

In response to a University of North Carolina academic scandal, NCAA lawyers say that the athletic governing body has no responsibility to ensure academic integrity—directly refuting claims made on its own website. It appears the last remaining pillar of “sanctity” for the organization is that it still refuses to pay athletes.
