Nearly half (48%) of parents of 16- to 18-year-olds believe that their kids should pay at least some of their own college tuition costs, up from just 39% four years ago. Even if they would like to, fewer of today’s cash-strapped Gen-X parents are equipped to foot the entire bill for their kids’ skyrocketing tuitions.
