Nearly Half of Post-9/11 Vets Have a Service-Connected Disability
According to the latest BLS data, 41% of veterans who served post-9/11 have a service-connected disability, compared to 25% of veterans of earlier eras. Medical advances and heightened awareness of mental health issues like PTSD have resulted in both higher survival and diagnosis rates.
