Older Tenured Faculty Expect To Work Past Normal Retirement Age
49% of tenured faculty age 50+ would like to and expect to work past normal retirement age—earning the label “reluctant by choice.” Like their non-academic counterparts, these Boomers are fulfilled by their work (94%) and most have no plans for retirement.
