Mark Fleming, a veteran real estate analyst, doesn’t believe that Millennials can’t afford to buy a home—he believes they simply don’t want to buy them yet. Marriage and children are important drivers of homeownership, and in Fleming’s opinion most Millennials want to wait a lot longer before starting families.
