Record-High Employment for the 85+
A record 4.4% of Americans age 85 and older have worked over the past 12 months, up from 2.6% in 2006. Workers in this group are most likely to be employed as farmers and ranchers—shrinking professions with a shortage of young talent to take on the mantle.
