Should the Term “Retirement” Be Replaced with “Financial Independence?”
Sarah Simoneaux, a speaker at a recent retirement conference, told attendees that the term “retirement” is outdated and should be replaced with “financial independence.” However, since the majority of those working into old age are doing so out of financial necessity, this seems overly optimistic.
