Strokes Rising Among the Young
The recent deaths of John Singleton and Luke Perry are a reminder that strokes are not just for the old. In fact, the number of young adults hospitalized following a stroke has risen 44% over the past decade, while 15% of all ischemic strokes occur among young adults and adolescents.
