UN Projects the World Population Will Stop Growing by the End of the Century
For the first time, the world population is projected to virtually stop growing by the end of this century. Due in large part to falling fertility rates, annual population growth by 2100 is expected to be less than 0.1%, with more than all of the gain coming from sub-Saharan Africa.
