U.S. Births and General Fertility Rate Both Increased in 2014
The total number of U.S. births and the general fertility rate both ticked up in 2014, reversing 2013’s declines. Millennials, for their part, have driven the 15- to 19-year-old birthrate down to another historic low of 24.2 births per 1,000 women.
