U.S. Cancer Death Rate Sees Biggest One-Year Drop on Record
From 2016 to 2017, the cancer death rate in the U.S. saw its biggest one-year drop ever (2.2%). Cancer mortality rates have fallen continuously for about three decades, in part due to lower smoking rates that have helped reduce deaths from lung cancer.
