Experts are debating the importance of the U.S. multiple jobholding rate, which shows that around 5% of U.S. workers hold at least two concurrent jobs. While alarmists like to point out that multiple jobholding remains prevalent even in a tightening labor market, the fact remains that the rate remains near historical lows.
